Regional Theatre Of the Palouse is the first theater to open in Pullman's historical downtown area, since 1927 when the Liberty Theater, now Rico's Pub, moved into the Cordova Theatre. Creating a theater has revealed the hidden potential of the historic Downen Building.
We are continuously trying to grow and expand to bring new opportunities to the Palouse Region.
We dared to dream and discovered anything is possible. Regional Theatre of the Palouse was established, obtained 501 (c)(3) non-profit status, produced its first major musical at Beasley Coliseum (an annual event) and transformed a retail storefront into an intimate 72 seat theater all in a little over one year.
What a busy and wonderful season this has been for all of us at Regional Theatre Of the Palouse. We proudly premiered Richard Rodgers' final musical, "I Remember Mama," sold out for "Cabaret" and set attendance records for "Fiddler on the Roof" at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum. Our 2008/2009 season comes to a delightful and charming close with our production of "The Trouble with Angels."
We are looking forward to our 2009/2010 season of shows, which opens with the new Broadway revival production of "Annie Get your Gun." The "Candy Man" is coming to the Palouse in the premiere production of "Willy Wonka," based on the original musical film version, followed by the award winning play "Enchanted April." The season ends with an all time favorite musical "Guys and Dolls," which is again wowing Broadway audiences this year.
You don't have to go to Broadway—Regional Theatre Of the Palouse is here, bringing you Broadway classics, revivals, premieres and award winning shows.
